POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing extraordinary service to both internal and external clients. The incumbent is also responsible for performing manual labor tasks associated with receiving, storing, inventorying, and issuing materials, supplies, and assets delivered to and shipped from Horseshoe St. Louis.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides extraordinary service, positively effects interactions with internal customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.

2. Ensures appropriate functions, duties, procedures, and activities of receiving, transporting, stocking of shelves, pulling orders, and delivery of goods are performed, and fulfill objectives and directions from the Warehouse Supervisor.

3. Provides manual labor in the warehouse and receiving dock areas by loading, unloading, moving of goods and assist with receiving function of goods when needed.

4. Disperses goods from warehouse insuring correct item, correct quality and correct quantity of all goods are delivered to the end user and obtaining proof of delivery signatures.

5. Rotates and stocks incoming goods in warehouse coolers, freezers, and shelves.

6. Assist with performing periodic inventories of warehoused goods.

7. Maintain housekeeping of warehouse, cleanliness of facilities, goods are labeled, rotated, and stored property according to HACCP standards, coolers and freezers are within an acceptable temperature range, and all equipment is in safe working order.

8. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to perform manual labor warehouse tasks.

Must be able to operate and be certifiable on equipment such fork lifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, hand trucks, carts, and electronic scales.

Must be able to operate and interpret handheld computers following standard operating procedures

This position operates in a working environment that Is subject to varying levels of cold, wet conditions and noise. Proper ear protection is available upon request.

This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions. Proper clothing is provided.

This position is physical in nature and requires the incumbent to bend, carry, squat, stand, twist and lift up to 100 pound and push/pull up to 100 pounds in order to store and retrieve items located in the warehouse(s).

Must be able to review and comprehend all supply chain documents.

Must be able to effectively and efficiently move around warehouse(s), including climbing stairs, operating on uneven surfaces, and ramps.

EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED:

Electric and manual pallet jacks, fork lift, hand truck, cart, electric scale. Certifications may be required.

Handheld computers for the use of receiving, inventory cycle counts, and picking.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and 100 pounds occasionally.

Ability to work effectively with others and without direct supervision.

Experience operating hand carts, pallet jacks, and fork lift are helpful.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a warehouse handheld computer.

Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.

Excellent guest service and communication skills.

Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.

Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Regular and punctual attendance is required.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through high school graduation or equivalent, as well as through a minimum of one-year work experience as a warehouse person or related experience.
