BFC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Intern to join our team. The intern will assist with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, financial analysis, and the preparation of reports. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting and finance within a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Understand how generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices are integrated into the day-to-day business environment.
  • Learn how our month end process works and how our financial statements come together.
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable functions by processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in accounting software.
  • Conduct financial analysis and generate reports for management review.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Help with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Participate in audits and compliance checks as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Rising Junior, Seniors or recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • An interest in learning more about International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Comfortable to work within workflows & processes.
  • Passion for accounting operations.
  • Competent to learn new software technology.
