Responsibilities:

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Advanced Scheduler to join our team.  The successful applicant will provide full-time dedicated support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Director, Space Systems (MDA/SS), located at Schriever SFB, CO (Missile Defense Integration Operations Center (MDIOC)).

 

You will be supporting several innovative, highly technical, and fast-paced space sensor developmental programs including the Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS) and Spacebased Kill Assessment (SKA) programs.  These critical programs will procure, test, and deliver national space assets to the warfighting Combatant Commands.

 

Responsibilities:

Position Overview

 

The successful candidate will serve as an Advanced Scheduler supporting the Missile Defense Agency Space Systems (MDA/SS) Directorate in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will support Directorate-wide program scheduling and integration efforts. Duties and Responsibilities include:

Working knowledge of applicable DoD acquisition directives to support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for MDS development and fielding;Experience with developing Acquisition Plans, Justification and Approvals, Request for

Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement Lists

Build and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across all SS programsMaintain program schedules in MDA’s Project ServerPerform schedule health and status updatesConduct schedule merges and analyses of Prime IMS’sDevelop and track primary, secondary, and tertiary critical paths for IMSsSupport Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)Build and maintain schedule charts for program reviews and executionBuild leadership briefs and maintain schedule baselines for various acquisition eventsParticipate in the Missile Defense System Integration Schedule Working Group (MISWG) Track and report on schedule metrics for the PMsMaintain desktop schedules

 

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in related field with 10 years relevant experience; MA/MS, PMP or PMI-SP certification may substitute for 3 years of experience
• Possess 12+ years of experience of Program/Product Office (PPO) experience with PPO Planning, Scheduling, and Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and reporting
• Ability to create, interpret, implement and report EVM, schedules, schedule related products and communications relevant to PPO cost, schedule and performance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with acquisition, financial, program management and technical experts and leaders to ensure and enable credible schedule-related communication throughout the PPO, with the PPO’s contractor community and with senior leaders/stakeholders beyond the PPO
• Ability to advise PPO leadership of Planning, Scheduling, and EVM analysis
• Ability to mentor Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Schedulers in the broader aspects of PPO operations
• Ability to provide relevant participation and authoritative perspective upon request in various types of reviews, e.g., the Integrated Baseline Reviews, Program Management Reviews, Technical Baseline Reviews/Developmental Baseline Reviews, Acquisition Strategy Panel/Boards, Directors Program Review, Integration Synchronization Council/Group and other MDA decision-making forums
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement Corrective Action Plans or Improvement Plans
• Ability to serve as a senior advisor to MDA leadership for schedule analysis, policy review and implementation
• Must possess high levels of interpersonal skills, organization, and presentation skills
• Ability to think critically, perform analysis, and possess high communication skills (written and spoken)

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $90,000/year to $150,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
