Summary The CBJ Fan Engagement Team members will serve as an integral part of the Columbus Blue Jackets efforts to bring the fun and excitement of the game of hockey to the Columbus community & across Ohio. This position will be responsible for assisting in various touchpoints with Blue Jackets fans including game night activations, team events & community events. Team members should have a dynamic and outgoing personality, be conversational by nature, and possess the ability to engage any audience. The Fan Engagement Team must also promote the Columbus Blue Jacketsâ brand and sales messaging with positive energy and professionalism.   If youâre passionate about the Blue Jackets, the game of hockey and love interacting with fans of all ages and backgrounds, we are looking for YOU 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Execute various concourse activations & hockey related activities on game nights throughout the season designed to enhance the fan experience of fans of all ages and backgrounds. This includes helping run the COSI Fan Zone.

Enhance the fan experience at various team events, including but not limited to Opening Night, Draft Party, 5th Line 5K and Season Ticket Holder Events through various activations & interactions.  

Assist with mobile marketing events in the community such as fairs, festivals, concerts, and CBJ-driven community activations. Includes setup and clean-up of the mobile truck, loading and unloading equipment, staffing games & other activations, and interacting with fans. 

Engage with fans in the arena and out in the community to promote sales messaging and other various CBJ affiliated programs designed to grow the game of hockey in Columbus. Assist the marketing department in thinking of new and creative ways to engage with CBJ fans, both at games as well as in the community.  This position will last throughout the CBJ season & into the offseason. Competencies  To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
