The Assistant National Director (AND) of Operations oversees the comprehensive business operations of AARP Foundation's Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), supervising 4 other managers with direct oversight over financial management, IT, procurement, office leasing, compliance and logistics. This role ensures adherence to all grant contractual requirements, audit and reporting standards, federal regulations, and AARP Foundation SCSEP policies. Key responsibilities include monitoring overall grant expenditures alongside the National Director to maintain fiscal and program accountability and integrity, assisting in the annual stewardship of grant funds, serving on the SCSEP leadership team, and providing direct support to headquarters management as needed.

Responsibilities

Ensures effective management of all operational areas, including compliance with program policy, procedures, performance, and government regulations as needed. Identifies, investigates, analyzes, and recommends alternative solutions to a wide range of operational, management, and administrative actions/problems. Manages program/department assets and budgets. Develops and manages a high performing team of people managers and individual contributors. Analyzes and directs program resource planning, business requirements and needs assessments, including the operating system, software, and hardware, security and core infrastructure services.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of project management experience. Adapt new and complex system development methodologies to complex projects. Understand multifaceted inter-relationships of multiple business subsidiaries and departments. Knowledge of enterprise technology systems and process management. Proven ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams, achieving business objectives while building strong relationships with co-workers and business partners

Hybrid Work Environment

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
