How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

As a Senior Scientist, you will join our RNA Technologies team within the Chemistry and Delivery Sciences group and embrace the opportunity to transform amazing sciences and technologies into powerful cures. You will be responsible for providing support inRNA platform development by leading mRNA discovery and implementing new and existing mRNA process and leading guide RNA design and modification.

Main responsibilities also include:

  • Functions independently as a technical expert in mRNA synthesis by enzymatic method development, execution, and troubleshooting.

  • Evaluates novel RNA technologies and methodologies that could improve our RNA quality.

  • Design and modify guide RNA that could improve guide RNA stability and potency.

  • Provides leadership in collaboration with colleagues across disciplines from early research to process teams in support of project goals and timelines.

  • Coordinate product characterization and in-process testing of mRNA molecules.

    About you:

    Your experience working with RNA and your understanding of the basic principles and CRISPR (gene editing) techniques necessary to characterize RNA quality and function will enable you to be successful. Most importantly, if you have an enthusiastic curiosity to develop RNA processes and learn about the future of medicine in gene editing, we strongly encourage you to apply Other qualifications and desired skills include:

    • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related area with 3~ 5 years of post-PhD relevant experience or Master’s degree with 8 ~10 years of relevant experience

    • Previous experience with RNA Biochemistry and/or CRISPR/Gene Editing Techniques is a must

    • RNA and oligos development experience utilizing bioanalytical tools such as (U/HPLC, FPLC, CE, gel electrophoresis, and sequencing) is desirable

    • Experience managing people is a plus

    • Organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrated independent thinker who continuously seeks innovative solutions

    • Excellent verbal and written communication,teamwork, and strong problem-solvingskills

      Meet your future team:

      The RNA Technologies team is a fun, brilliant and energetic team of scientists focused on the RNA platform development to create the curative gene-editing technologies of the future. This group is responsible for driving the early-stage development of Intellia’s RNA DS for Intellia’s lead programs. Furthermore, we are responsible for the development of enzymatic process and characterization tools to build a wide range of mRNA modalities for Intellia’s next-generation platform technologies. Additionally, we are responsible to design and modify guide RNA to increase its stability/potency for new pipeline application.

      You will report to the Director, RNA Technologies. He is leading to advance our RNA gene therapy platforms and participate in developing innovative therapies for patients.
