The Legal Operations Specialist will play a critical role within the US Legal Operations team.  Their remit will be focused on commercial management, supporting the strategic direction of the function and finance activities

As our Legal Operations Specialist you will:

  • Contract ownership for all US Legal External Law Firms and Vendors.
  • Management of regional subscription processes, including relationship management with the vendors and liasion with legal team for licensing requirements
  • Analyze financial reports and data management; complete studies and/or make recommendations, as appropriate
  • Coordinate Town Halls, trainings and other strategic meetings and events for the function
  • Analyze and publish routine reports to reflect financial position of US Legal, enabling leadership to make informed decisions


    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $91,100.00 and $136,000.00

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

    • Technical acumen with particularly proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.   Experience with Thompson Reuters Legal Tracker a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with little supervision to resolve departmental and/or business needs, as well as assigned projects
    • Experience working in an in house legal department or law firm
    • Creative and practical problem-solving skills, leveraging a sense of curiosity when completing daily activities
