Primarily working AM Shifts, the F&B Supervisor reports to the Director of Food and Beverage in assisting in the execution F&B AM operations including continental breakfast, amenity planning /delivering and Mini-Bar operations while also highlighting issues as they may arise and formulating solutions. The F&B Supervisor must display a polished set of communication skills and likely a degree in hospitality management. You must be highly familiar with property management POS System TABIT – Mini-Bar System – Stay in Touch and Alice systems.

The F&B Supervisor will also monitor overhead expenditures, incident reports as well as department requests, purchase reports and accounts payable and accounts receivable. He/She will further have a relationship with the hotel’s suppliers and vendors to assess the quality of goods and services purchased from these third parties and for performance assessment purposes. Another major aspect of this job is managing the procurement process and resource allocation “PAR”. 

The person in this pivotal position will oversee supplies, inventory and purchasing. Hotel F&B managers and chefs should also expect to inspect mini-bar stock and audit the F&B Supervisor to ensure AM operation run smooth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

On a day-to-day basis, The F&B Supervisor is fully responsible for AM Operation and Mini- Bar Operation within the hotel and thus, all F&B employees in these areas report to him/her. Meetings will regularly take place to ensure each employee sales and revenue targets are tenable, standard operating procedures are continuously met in order that routine operations are smoothly carried out and GSTS (Guest Satisfaction Tracking System) feedback is reviewed and appropriately actioned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

The F&B Supervisor should preferably be proficient with Tabit POS and StayNTouch Systems.   The F&B Supervisor will oversee and train servers as well as minibar attendants to ensure hotel standards are met.  The F&B Supervisor will also be involved in the interviewing, hiring, training, and planning staff development, he/she will collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager on staffing needs. Direct reports will also receive constructive feedback from the F&B Operational Manager either in a formal or informal manner. Among those direct reports are the hotel’s top sales and marketing executives with whom the F&B supervisor works closely, together monitor revenues capture on the Continental, room service, pool, mini-bar and ensure the efficacy of all employees and performance. Additional responsibilities also extend to ensuring the property meets all legal requirements and conforms to local codes and established regulations. That includes administering effective security processes and maintaining legally required health and safety procedures.

In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Must be able to read, follow directions and be flexible. Must be able to speak and write in a language understood by manager and/or supervisor. Ability to communicate with guests, associates, and management. Ability to take direction and accomplish task and deadline set by the hotel General Manager. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, follow-through courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
