Purpose and Scope 

Develop and maintain 5 year task order project plans and deferred maintenance reports to support project requirements supporting operations and maintenance of facility systems that are located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida on the Base Operations and Spaceport Services (BOSS) Contract Coordinate with System Engineers, Design Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators, and various NASA customers to validate work requirements, prioritize projects, and communicate estimated project costs. Utilize a structured, risk-based, prioritization process for assessing project requirements for assigned FSEU. 

Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities

Compiles and prioritizes 5 yr. plans for various customers. Makes preliminary assessment as to FY for implementation based on system knowledge and Priority Analysis Tool (PAT) Score form. Updates plans and EWRS (Electronic Work Request System) based on customer and SHARP team input. Prepares and submits the following deliverables: monthly Deferred Maintenance Plan report, quarterly Five Year Maintenance Report and annual Construction of Facilities and Local Authority 5 Year Program Plans. Provide project reports to Customer IRB (Integrated Review Board) Chairs. Provides project recommendations to the Government based on various data calls. Develop and direct a Work Evaluation Board (WEB) meeting twice a week to present new IDIQ requirements that have been submitted into the EWRS, to present decision packages, and coordinate with the Government on updating work status within EWRS. Maintains appropriate status of all active Requests while in the various WEB states in EWRS. Coordinate with System Engineers to provide proper justification for project priorities identified. Compile reports for WEB meetings to represent current status of new work to be prioritized, as well as existing proposal efforts in work. Prepares 1509 Facility Project Approval Document and submits to NASA for review/approval, prior to the start of construction of that project. Maintains procedures for various Project Planning efforts summarized above. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

           

Preferred Qualifications, But Not Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • A demonstrable knowledge of Maximo, and Electronic Work Request System (EWRS) and their associated table structure is highly desirable and preferred. Strong business data analytics background also desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
