Position Overview
Ralph Lauren has embarked on a transformation journey for its Allocation capability and is currently focused on implementing global best in class processes supported by a global Allocation solution across North America (NA), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC). Dual reporting to NA Head of Business Planning and NA Head of Buying, Planning and Allocation, the successful candidate will be a utility player with Allocation expertise that can pivot between operational control tower and acting as representative for NA during design and implementation, and working closely with the Global Capability Lead for Allocation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Control Tower for North America · Act as point of contact between the Buying, Planning & Allocation teams, Store Operations, and Distribution Center (DCs), working cross divisionally, cross brand, etc. to ensure consistency of approach and streamlined communication. · Ensure regular flow of volume to the DC and Retail stores, resolving technical Allocation issues in a timely manner. · Drive efficiency improvement and cost reduction. · Manage freight and warehouse volume forecasts to DC. · Manage Pre-Retail Allocation activities. · Coordinate new store openings / renovations / closures for all Allocation related topics. · Manage joint logistics reviews with DC. · Lead Xdock / Pre-Pack initiatives. · Visit stores, understand impact of allocations and amend process / guidance accordingly. Regional Allocation Capability Lead for NA · Act as liaison between Allocation team and the Global Allocation Capability Lead · Participate and provide input into design workshops representing NA. · Provide functional requirements for NA. · Participate in other key sessions that require business input through various phases of the project, e.g. wireframe sessions, UAT, and training. · Provide relevant data for NA for implementation. · Empowered to represent and make decisions on behalf of NA in partnership with the Global Capability Lead · Play a key role in influencing change across NA. · Support end-users in various capacities post go-live.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Minimum Years of Experience 8+ with a proven track record in related role · Experience within a vertically integrated retail environment; fashion apparel experience is highly desirable. · Experience with Allocation software a plus. · Possesses a working understanding of supply chain operations, store operations, and allocation processes. · Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Must be adept at translating complex concepts into actionable plans. · Has the ability to confidently engage with and influence senior executives. · Possesses strong analytical skills: Leverages data to make strategic decisions that optimize the balance between retail and supply chain to create sustainable win-win solutions. · The ideal candidate is pragmatic, a problem solver, thrives under pressure, and excels at multitasking. Has the ability to make decisive and timely decisions while acting with authority. · Possesses a strong strategic vision but is also comfortable taking a hands-on approach to achieve results. · Must be based in NY/NJ.
