What You’ll Do

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for oversight over all support functions essential to running our business. These include planning, reporting, sales goal setting and management, sales process optimization, sales job design and training, and recruiting and onboarding inside sales talent. This person will also be responsible for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships and keeping current on company products and market conditions. The Sales Ops Manager will report to the Regional Director and is a member of the Leadership Team for the region.

Location: You will be based out of our Frederick, MD office.

As our Sales Operations Manager, we need your in-depth knowledge of sales, operations, our customers, and sound business acumen to:

  • Influence key stakeholders (Market/Sales Managers, Customers, CSS)
  • Proven to have work closely with sales leadership to align sales strategies with business objectives and are instrumental in forecasting, analytics and performance management.
  • Contribute to the delivery of quarterly and annual sales results that meet or exceed the regional targets.
  • Develops and implement strategies to improve sales productivity and effectiveness, often through the use of technology, market trends, and innovative practices.
  • Analyses market trends and sales date to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and expand into new markets to generate sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Ensure that processes that drive, support or are impacted by the sales function (demand planning, procurement, pricing, sales excellence, challenger training strategies, etc.) are integrated into the day-to-day operation and conforming to agreed-upon standards of excellence.
  • Oversee the process for collecting and acting on customer data in the sales pipeline (i.e. HubSpot).
  • Act as a liaison between sales, operations, and customers to ensure delivery, product integrity, and service expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams and with regional colleagues to develop and implement strategies that drive excellence.
  • Serve as product knowledge expert, conduct product training sessions, and implement product improvement initiatives.
  • Guide and coach staff to achieve goals and provide feedback to encourage career growth

Who You Are

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in all or most aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and collaborating with customers & other team members from different departments and channels
  • Track record of successfully directing and supporting the implementation of company initiatives.
  • Proficiency with systems (Teams, SAP, Hubspot, OneStream, etc.) and Excel spreadsheets and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and budgets and retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices and techniques.
  • Experience dealing and communicating effectively with senior team leaders.
  • Ability to conduct high quality presentations and facilitate meetings.
