Assists in managing materials and finished product in all phases of handling, storing, packaging and distribution.

Supports team members to assure that the AFSR-Tucson customer needs are met.

Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials.

Assists in the coordination of delivery and shipment schedules and provide all necessary data for proper pick-up and delivery.

Package, stage and ship finished goods.  When necessary, expedite critical shipments.

Assist with cycle counting, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective action and report status of cycle count program.

Responsible for the flow and movement of materials to and from the factory. Assist with product dispositions, customer returns, and customer revision and shipping changes.

Maintain the data control system to ensure accurate material and product records.

Assist with inventory reduction programs and JIT programs.

Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement on a daily basis. Take the initiate to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervision.

Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Participate with production teams to resolve production and shipping issues.

Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers.

Helps to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.

Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.

Adheres to Howmet EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.

High School Diploma not required

One year shipping and/or receiving experience is required.  Attention to detail and strong communication skills are required.  Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desired. Must be proficient with word and excel.  Past experience with AES, Imports/Exports and Oracle are also preferred.

This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 – 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis
