Seattle, United States Amazon Full time

Do you want to be part of an innovative and rapidly growing business? Are you looking for a role with ownership, autonomy, and the ability to lead teams across the globe to launch AI/ML enterprise applications?

Then you should join the AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) Sales Planning Tools team. We provide the services, technology, and data to support the rapidly growing world-wide AWS Sales organization. This includes finding inventive ways to scale the business, which will be critical for AWS to continue its strong growth. Our team manages a portfolio of complex, high-impact, and intelligent planning tools, with an exciting multi-year product roadmap. These are global, enterprise grade web applications that are early and mid-stage in their lifecycle, and include both 1P and 3P products.

Our team is seeking a talented, innovative Product Manager with an exceptional invent and simplify skillset, problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to translate customers and business needs into inventive software solutions.

You will own the end-to-end development of a global, enterprise-grade web-based sales planning application that is in its early stage and stands to deliver transformational value across the worldwide AWS Sales organization. You will work with a dedicated engineering team; our product team works with a 50-person, and growing, engineering team. You will define the product’s vision and strategy, including the delivery of automation and intelligent recommendations to drive a more efficient and effective Go-to-market sales plan for AWS. You will be responsible for roadmap development, product requirements management, stakeholder and customer engagement, leadership reviews, user testing, and launch strategy and execution. You will partner with engineering, global sales customers, a data science team, and other application owners across the SMGS organization.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop product strategy and product definition.
  2. Define and manage multi-year product roadmap, including introduction of Gen AI and ML to transform AWS planning.
  3. Capture, document, and communicate business and technical product requirements.
  4. Translate requirements into features and user stories. Drive technical team understanding of requirements.
  5. Manage technical build against business requirements. Contribute to and influence technical decisions with engineering.
  6. Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders from Global AWS Sales and Sales Operations teams and other System and Application teams across WWRO.
  7. Lead document development for leadership reviews.
  8. Own project status updates to customers, stakeholders, and leadership.
  9. Plan and conduct user testing (UAT).
  10. Drive change management and adoption of solution across AWS Sales and Sales Operations.
  11. Manage post-launch activities (user support, new feature development, etc.)
  12. Establish KPIs, identify gaps, and improve performance and adoption of the platform.
  13. Deep dive problems or opportunity areas and propose solutions to address.
About the team

We have a team culture that encourages innovation and we expect team members and management alike to take a high degree of ownership for their program vision and execution. Beyond a strong technical background and proven track record of product management, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, owning and driving end-to-end product requirements
  • Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
  • Prior experience working across functional/organizational boundaries
  • Prior experience providing written and verbal communication to technical and non-technical individuals
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, or Advanced degree
  • Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles and schedules
  • Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery
  • Comfort with ambiguity; demonstrated track record of independently developing creative solutions to problems
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, drive technical architecture choices, manage tradeoffs
  • Experience in a startup or enterprise software environment
