About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager (Technical) to join the International Product Management and Expansion Strategy team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that drives global strategic planning and decision-making for AWS.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in product strategy and strategic planning, with experience in technology products or services. They will be responsible for structuring and solving complex business problems, developing long-term growth strategies for AWS's international business, and working closely with business and technical teams to analyze and innovate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the effort to define AWS's international expansion strategy, including identifying new markets and opportunities.
  • Develop business cases, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, marketing strategy, financial models, and growth strategies for AWS's international business.
  • Assess business performance and customer needs, and provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Work with regional strategy managers to understand and document business requirements, and identify causal elements behind business trends.
  • Develop Excel-based models to provide user-friendly interfaces for business stakeholders and provide short- or long-term business projections from business insights.
  • Help senior stakeholders draft aspirational targets and propose concrete metrics to track progress towards targets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, and experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Rust.
  • Preferred qualifications include an MBA, experience in using analytical tools like Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight, and experience with AWS services like S3, Redshift, EMR, and Apache Spark.
