A Day in the Life

The IT Asset Management Administrator is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive lifecycle management of Eide Bailly's IT assets. This includes maintaining an accurate inventory, tracking assets from acquisition to disposal, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The role requires regular audits and reconciliation of asset data, as well as the generation of detailed reports on asset status and utilization. The administrator also collaborates with various teams to ensure effective asset deployment and support. By optimizing asset management practices, the IT Asset Management Administrator enhances operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. A typical day as a IT Asset Management Administrator may include:

  • Monitor asset data integrity and accuracy within the IT Asset Management database.
  • Identify processing inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
  • Implement IT policies and best practices to maintain a high standard of operations.
  • Train internal staff on relevant procedures and rules to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain the IT Asset Database to ensure it accurately reflects the current state of the IT environment.
  • Work with the ServiceNow IT team to develop and customize IT Asset Database workflows to automate the management of configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.
  • Develop scripts for the IT Asset Database to automate data imports, exports, and transformations.
  • Ensure that all configuration items (CIs), including hardware and software, are correctly identified, recorded, and tracked within the CMDB.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain data quality controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct regular audits and health checks of the CMDB to identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze CMDB data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver CMDB reports and dashboards to provide insight into the state of the IT environment.
  • Work closely with the internal ServiceNow Administrator and Developer to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Provide CMDB training and support to IT teams and stakeholders to ensure effective use and understanding.
  • Facilitate the development of policies and procedures to manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards in all asset management activities.

Who You Are

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in an IT operations role.
  • Should possess general knowledge of various types of IT hardware.
  • Prefer candidates with experience using IT Ticketing and Asset Management applications such as ServiceNow ITSM, BMC Remedy ITSM, or similar products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Base salary range: $$ - $$

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
