Hospitality Project Services (HPS), the construction division of General Hotels Corporation, is searching for a detailed, energetic professional to join our Procurement Team. Our purchasing team is responsible for working with hotel brands, vendors, architects, project managers and superintendents on new build hotel and renovation projects in multiple states across the Midwest and Southeast.  We own and manage hotels across multiple brands that include Marriott International, Inc., Hilton Worldwide, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Hyatt, Choice, and Wyndham.  This Procurement Coordinator will do take offs and manage purchases while adhering to budgets, brand requirements, and timelines.   Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate project planning, bidding, and purchasing.
  • Create and maintain project schedules for purchasing & delivery.
  • Print and maintain project spec books and engineering drawings.
  • Work with design department to ensure accuracy of project requirements.
  • Create and maintain vendor files including credit applications and W-9’s for new or current approved vendors.
  • Work within a Purchase Order system.
  • Process invoices for payment.
  • Purchase within or below project budget numbers.
  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate Excel spreadsheets.
  • Manage online brand systems as required.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers via phone and email.
  • Monitor voicemail and general email for purchasing department.
  • Manage calendar for vendor and in-house meetings.
  • Manage office supplies, billings and organization.
  • Work onsite in office and ability to visit projects when necessary.
  • Other duties as needed.
  Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing functions such as Purchase Orders, Quotes, Supply Chain, and Contracts
  • Hotel or construction experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Comfortable with online websites
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Creative
  • Open communicator
