The Opportunity

  • The Product Marketing Manager is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the Congenital product line in the Structural Heart business unit. This role will focus on product marketing for our ASO and PDA product lines, Amplatzer and Piccolo, and the various products within the U.S. This position will work closely with the sales team and be responsible for aspects of US strategy development plus Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials and Training, Pricing, and Materials Management.
  • The Product Marketing Manager shall maintain US product expertise for congenital products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning.
  • The Product Marketing Manager shall provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market awareness for Amplatzer and Piccolo and related disease states, including new product launches in 2024 and beyond.
  • Success will be measured against sales and margin expectations, sales force competency/knowledge level and market image.

What Youâll Work On

  • Maintain worldwide market expertise for Piccolo and Amplatzer and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
  • Develop and create best in market product messaging and collaborate with global marketing and field team to market test messaging feasibility.  
  • Develop strategies to address product performance issues.
  • Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment.
  • Create and develop US specific strategies for new product launches.
  • Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.
  • Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project manager to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
  • Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
  • Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Develop plan & update US forecasts and justification for respective product lines worldwide and present to BU senior management.
  • Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.

Accountability

  • The Product Manager will report to the Director of US Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for designated products.
  • In this core Marketing role, the PM will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and PEx goals for designated products.
  • The Product Manager will be expected to be responsive and able to directly address questions and requests of senior management including the SH DVP.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 4-6 years related experience, with at least one year experience in marketing or product management, or MBA with 1-3 yrs related experience.
  • Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
  • Looking for a self-starter, proactive by nature, interested in breaking the status quo, and innately curious.  
  • Strong story telling skills to captivate and influence audiences.    
  • Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.
  • Requires strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to understand technical and scientific information.
  • Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
  • Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
  • Travel required 30-40% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, B.S., Veterinary Technician/Nurse, DVM or advanced medical degree.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 â $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
