  • Utilize brand awareness and engagement, earned media, employee engagement, and conversions metrics to inform strategy.
  • Support the development of social media plans and campaigns to maximize effective communication and outreach to deliver mission-focused messages among diverse audiences.
  • Ensure tone and focus are appropriate for target audiences and that content complies with style guides.
  • Conduct outreach efforts to enhance visibility of content with relevant audiences.
  • Create visually appealing Section 508-complaint graphics for each post that are tailored to the specific needs of each audience and platform.
  • Make recommendations to the design team and project manager for new, updated content to support evolving online messaging needs and identify gaps or ways to improve collateral materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of social media management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field.
  • Proficient using multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot.
  • Experience supporting large federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Active Public Trust security clearance preferred; ability to obtain one required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Experience creating and tailoring content to meet campaign objectives, target audience/segments goals, and recommended strategies and tactics for all media channels.
  • Strong time management, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
