YLM Internal Fellowship Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute towards a strategic plan to build YLM’s identity through its vision, goals, priorities, and projects 

  • Help co-lead projects such as the Youth Housing Coalition, Amity Youth Summit, etc

  • Research resources and materials that relate to policy, organizing, organization building, housing, employment, and education 

  • Attend weekly capacity building and training sessions 

  • Build and maintain relationships with external community organizations and members

  • Identify YLM allies who can support YLM’s vision and mission 

  • Attend external community meetings or training YLM-related topics 

  • Review proposals, partnerships, and opportunities to bring to the full group

  • Contribute to building a shared base of knowledge by creating processes, guides, documents, visual aids, or activities to communicate any information learned to the full group

  • Help to determine the timing of decisions, discussions, and updates for full group meetings 

  • Collectively design agenda items/activities that will move the group along according to our priorities 

  • Keep the organization focused and committed to our topics of focus, target population, strategies, mission, vision, and values

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Youth Liberation Movement 
  • Be between the ages of 18-25 
  • No high school diploma required 

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly via oral, written, and/or visual aids 
  • Ability to adapt to multiple learning styles 
  • Ability to keep a large group focused, engaged, and informed 
  • Exhibit some awareness of Google products 
  • Display time management skills
