The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is seeking a qualified Youth Soccer Coach to lead our youth soccer program this fall. As a coach, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a fun and engaging soccer program for children aged 3-8 years old.
Responsibilities:- Program Development: Develop team objectives in alignment with the JCCSF youth sports program philosophies.
- Practice and Game Planning: Organize stimulating practices and games, emphasizing fundamental skill development through positive reinforcement.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide active guidance to the team during practices and games.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with children, parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Behavioral Guidelines: Establish and enforce consistent behavioral guidelines and work with players and parents to resolve behavior issues, in conjunction with the Athletics Manager.
- Experience: Experience working with children aged 3-8 years old.
- Knowledge: Some knowledge of early childhood development and managing behaviors preferred.
- Teamwork: Able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Soccer Knowledge: Working knowledge of soccer (preferably as a youth coach) at varying levels.
- Availability: Able to attend coaching clinics and training meetings (August - October 2024) and attend all weekday practices and weekend games consistently.
Work is conducted outdoors at fields on the northwest side of San Francisco. Some trainings/meetings/etc held onsite in the JCCSF facility.
Physical Requirements:- Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods of time, able to lift 15lbs, and demonstrate sports-related skills and movements.
Temporary/seasonal, non-exempt position.
Hours/Schedule:4-5 hours per week, one to two weekday afternoons between 3pm - 6pm (Monday-Friday) and daytime hours on Saturdays.
