Job Summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Finance Assistant of the MH/SUD Service line of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, under the direction of the CFO of the MH/SUD service line, is responsible for a variety of finance duties around accounts payable, payroll and grant tracking.

CORE FUNCTIONS

· Process full cycle accounts payable

· Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies

· Set up new vendors including certifying W9 forms, processing 1099 forms

· Maintain the billing/payables email accounts and contact information

· Review and submit bi-weekly timesheets in payroll system

· Print monthly expense data for grants

· Process monthly grant invoices

· Track grant expense utilization

CORE COMPETENCIES

· Attention to detail: ensuring accuracy of financial records and reports

· Analytical Skills: ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies

· Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with MS Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance or equivalent experience

Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats

Ability to read and interpret contracts and regulations from funders
