Job Highlights

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing chemical processes in order to increase process efficiency and productivity. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Initiate and implement process changes that improve process performance, efficiency and process safety. Ensure that necessary Process Safety information including P&ID's, operating procedures and interlock matrices are identified and updated accordingly.
  • Conduct regular and frequent review of process performance against expected parameters to identify deviations that affect efficiency and rates
  • Prepare basic process design packages for the initiation and execution of capital projects that support improvements in their respective units
  • Provide technical support to operations and environmental to troubleshoot problems and support regulatory compliance
  • Provide necessary technical training in support of operations regarding process changes and new processes
  • Lead process safety studies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience, including prior experience in a PSM facility.
  • Broad understanding of chemical process fundamentals and the essential elements of process safety management
  • Knowledge of standard and engineering software tools and programs
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
