As an Accountant (Staff) (College Graduate), you will:

Design, implement, and develop automated accounting systems; provide expert advice in specialized areas of accounting, resolve problems, and develop policies; determine accounting system adequacy; review legislation and regulations; develop regulations and guidelines for program users.
Develop and monitor accounting internal control program(s), identify problem areas, and develop solutions to improve operating program effectiveness.
Develop procedural manuals, methods, and directives for HUD program offices.
Routinely devise new methods and criteria to identify trends and patterns, modifies systems to accept new kinds of data, and prepares a variety of regular and special purpose reports.
Analyze operations, financial systems, periodic and special reports, and systems edits to develop information on trends, anomalies or problems and develop solutions; plan and execute changes to the content and nature of financial reports and application of computer technology to accounting functions.
