College Counseling Director

The College Counseling Director is a key member of the College Track team, responsible for leading college counseling outcomes at our sites. This role requires a strong understanding of college access and success strategies, as well as excellent leadership and coaching skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead site-level college counseling and matriculation strategy to implement College Track's College Counseling Playbook priorities and College Counseling Philosophy.
- Co-develop and implement a site-based strategy with the Executive Site Director to ensure scholars are matriculating to partner universities and are on track to matriculate to a 4-year college or university.
- Manage and coach the College Counselor through regular check-ins, observation, and training to ensure alignment in counseling strategies and real-time data collection.
- Divide and assign scholar caseloads to the College Counseling Team and manage a caseload of juniors and seniors to provide individualized college counseling and participation in college readiness programming.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a full-time College Counselor supporting 12th graders through the application, financial aid, and matriculation processes in the D.C. metro area.
- 2+ years of experience in staff development, coaching, management, and training.
- Knowledge of financial aid and scholarships, including supporting students in applying for FAFSA and relevant state-specific financial aid applications.
- Demonstrated success in analyzing scholar data, including transcripts, and developing targeted, data-driven interventions.
- Ability to give and receive upward, downward, and sideways feedback regularly.

CompensationThis position is Full-Time, Exempt, with a full compensation range of $72,000-$108,000 with the exact compensation depending on experience. As a new staff member, you can expect an offer between $88,200-$93,600 to ensure internal equity while leaving room for salary growth during your time at College Track.
