Job Description:

The Annual Giving Data Analyst is responsible for the execution and analysis of all data requirements associated with central annual giving’s efforts in generating leads for UF’s major gift pipeline. Reporting to the Interim Annual Giving Data Manager the incumbent will perform portfolio updates for UF’s leadership annual giving program, data analysis to evaluate campaigns, create and maintain records, reports and dashboards, and utilize data modeling, with the goal to help the Annual Giving team increase annual revenue and generate leads for major gift activity. Additionally, this position will work with individual users and design, code and test reports, and determine specific reporting requirements, working collegially with colleagues in University Initiatives, Data Information Systems and schools/college/units.

University Initiatives Data Support

  • Oversee quarterly Leadership Annual Giving Officer portfolio refreshes, working directly with Leadership Annual Giving Officers to compile records and assign regions/areas to each LAGO.
  • Partner with University Initiatives to add immediate referrals from annual giving directly to LAGO portfolios.
  • Work with University Initiatives, DIS and PSR for timely completion of entering new parent data into CRM.
  • Create visually pleasing and easy to read reports that support lead generation and pipeline development strategies within the LAGO program and University Initiatives.

 Lead Generation and Referrals

  • Oversee process for screening annual giving campaign and solicitation lists through Donor Search.
  • Oversee process for screening donor lists from Annual Giving activity to determine leads for pipeline.
  • Utilize donor model scores to create and track referrals for vetted overflow for LAGO program or research for prospect research.

Reports and Dashboards

  • Create visually pleasing and easy to read reports that drive strategy within the department and for colleges/units of annual giving.
  • Provide annual giving reporting services to partners in colleges and units with a focus on the following types of reporting: audience analysis, annual giving results, and prospect identification.

Analysis

  • Modify interactive dashboards, on-demand reports, and visualizations, utilizing existing software such as Cognos, Salesforce, Tableau and other web platforms, to drive the strategic decisions and daily workflow of annual giving team and strategies that generate leads for major gift pipeline.
Expected Salary:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2+ years of business and/or marketing analysis and data gathering experience; project management skills and IT competency, especially with a large database system.
  • One year of relevant work experience analyzing and modeling datasets and creating reports and dashboards.
  • Experience using SQL and statistical analysis software, such as SPSS.
  • Experience in Salesforce, Advizor Solutions, Advance C/S, Cognos, Tableau CRM, Einstein Analytics
  • Working knowledge in these areas:  Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, internet browsers, preferably Internet Explorer, E-mail.  Working knowledge of a donor, sales, or customer service database, contact management and tracking system.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to be a team player with proven relationship and influencing skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues from a variety of functional areas.
  • Proven ability to learn new software and navigate complex databases; strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-tasking, flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Competency in problem solving. 
  • Ability to synthesize, evaluate and convey information in a clear and cohesive manner.
  • Ability to take abstract questions and drill down through complex data to present strong data-driven recommendations.
  • Must be an outstanding communicator and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with a diverse constituency.
  • An appreciation for and support of diversity in the workplace in all its forms; proven success working with stakeholders; project management skills; experience in a data-driven environment; organizational skills; and the ability to lead, influence and motivate others are required.
