    Job Description

    The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Automation Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the design and production of automated systems for manufacturing high-performance, thin thermoplastic materials.
Drive the research and development of innovative automation solutions.Manage capital equipment projects, including justification, equipment selection or design, procurement, and implementation.Enhance manufacturing processes by integrating advanced technology and custom automation, focusing on safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput improvement, while meeting product design requirements.Assemble, test, and troubleshoot automated equipment and systems in manufacturing environments.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Automation Engineer will possess these qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology fieldPreferred background in Robotics or Mechanical Engineering, though other engineering disciplines will be considered3+ years of relevant engineering experienceExpertise in manufacturing automationFamiliarity with materials and equipment for plastic part fabricationStrong knowledge of machine design, basic electrical design, and standard manufacturing practices
