About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for the integration, deployment, and optimization of automated fulfillment solutions in our distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, configuration, testing, validation, and commissioning of automated fulfillment systems, including AS/RS, GTP, AMRs, Cobots, conveyors, and sortation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Automation Implementation Manager, Solutions Design, and external vendors to interpret designs and ensure successful automation implementation.
  • Conduct system validation and testing to ensure automation solutions meet performance criteria, safety standards, and operational requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise during the integration of automation systems with warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), and warehouse execution systems (WES).
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings, offering technical input to align automation systems with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues during implementation and commissioning, working with internal teams and vendors to implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing system optimizations to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and test results to ensure compliance with project documentation standards and facilitate future system maintenance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and distribution, with at least 5 years working directly with automation systems (e.g., AS/RS, GTP, AMRs, Cobots).
  • Experience in third-party logistics, omni-channel fulfillment, with a focus on e-commerce fulfillment solutions.
  • Experience with WMS, WCS, WES, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Proven experience in the deployment and commissioning of automated fulfillment solutions.
