What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will serve as a Program Analyst within the ORR/Recovery/PA/Program Support & Monitoring/CDLPS Division.
Typical assignments include:
Providing advice and recommendations regarding program planning and funding management issues. Interpreting policy and program directives. Performing a wide variety of administrative, technical and analytical duties pertaining to program and functional related activities during all phases of the planning, programming, and budgeting process. Participating in briefings in order to provide information concerning to the planning, scheduling, and financial aspects of program plans. Reading and interpreting financial statements (of local government-preferably) and general ledgers. Assessing eligibility and issuing a recommendation on loan amount. Possessing the ability to communicate precisely both in written and verbal correspondence.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

Qualifications
The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Analyzing or interpreting financial statements or reporting; AND Handling multiple priorities with shortfalls within a changing environment; AND Utilizing provided software (i.e., Excel) to generate reports and findings.
