As an Employee Communications Specialist, you'll be responsible for supporting the planning, development, and delivery of enterprise communications at Best Buy. This role ensures effective and creative communication through content gathering, key message development and deadline management - all in an effort to shape the internal story for the company and ensure Best Buy employees understand and embrace the company strategy and culture.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do
  • Responsible for communication planning, including writing, editing, publishing and sending content for various internal communications channels with direction from leader.
  • Collaborates with communications team members and business partners to recommend an approach for communicating to and for all levels of the company.
  • Responsible for high-level understanding of company strategy and specific business unit strategy - primarily Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE).
  • Partners cross-functionally to consult and advise and business partners on communication needs.
  • Recommends changes to our content and communications strategy and partners with leaders to implement changes as needed.

Basic qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in Communications, PR or related field
  • 1 year of developing and implementing strategic communication plans
  • 1 year of writing, creating, and publishing content across a variety of formats

Preferred qualifications
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functional partners and effectively build relationships with associates of all levels
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple assignments from conception to completion on deadline with direction from the leader
  • Effective communicator; proficient in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to effectively operationalize team processes
  • Commitment to valuing and furthering and inclusive work environment
