The Training Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Training Manager and the Lead Training Coordinator with the administration of training functions and employee training records management systems. Training records are essential to demonstrate that employees are qualified to do the work required for their position and have completed required certifications, including weapons qualifications, medical screenings, physical fitness qualifications, Human Reliability Program (HRP) certifications, Classified Matter and Protection Control (CMPC) training, and others. The Training Coordinator receives input from a variety of sources and enters it into the training records management systems to establish an accurate record of individual employee completion of training requirements. Additionally, the Training Coordinator establishes schedules of required training for individual employees. The incumbent must monitor training schedules and requirements and immediately identify employees who have exceeded training and/or qualification frequencies. All duties are performed with confidentially, integrity, and professionalism.
The Training Coordinator is an important part of the Training team, responsible for training coordination providing support services to a large and diverse customer base. Job duties include one or more of the following: course scheduling, course registration, run training status reports, training materials production, records management, and classroom management. Training Coordinators work in a fast paced, dynamic climate and will need to demonstrate good judgment in selecting techniques for obtaining solutions while working under limited direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Track training details, perform database updates, compile and generate reports, documents, and spreadsheets using various software programs.Maintain classroom readiness, manage supplies, and appearance of facilities.Schedule training and appointments in the ISE (scheduling software), UTRAIN, and the National Training Center learning system.Handle routine training inquiries and prepare responses to requests and correspondence.Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, recordkeeping, copying, mailing, filing, and other administrative support for the Training Department.Assist with EMETL/Curriculum activities and processes under the direction of the Lead Training Coordinator/Curriculum Developer Specialist.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:
Work is performed onsite. Position is not remote.High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years relevant experience.Currently have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Department of Energy L level clearance. Obtaining this clearance requires US citizenship except in very rare circumstances.Ability to successfully complete Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) required course(s) Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines and changing priorities. Requirements include creating and modifying reports, memorandums, letters, and other documents.Working knowledge of creating, modifying and scheduling employee training plans, scheduling and preparing classroom settings with the ability to compile, reproduce large volume training materials.Excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills with an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, database, and other presentation software.Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to convey information professionally and tactfully.Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently under minimal supervision.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid NM driver’s license.
Desired Education and Experience (Considered a Plus):
Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of academic training and work-related experience.One (1) year experience in Job Task Analysis and Training Program Curriculum Development.One (1) year experience in Enterprise Mission Essential Task List (EMETL) administration with a background in report preparation, systems analysis, formal briefing presentations, and multitask management.Five (5) years of successful experience in Protective Force Operations/Training disciplines.Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development in either DOE, NNSA, Department of Defense (DoD) EMETL environments.Working knowledge of N2MIS business systems (SharePoint, Sage, ISE, etc.), LANL business systems (Outlook, UTRAIN), and National Training Center (NTC) system (Registration, Learning Nucleus).
