Job Description:

This role is also responsible for reporting, analysis and planning of commercial commodities demand, commodities hedging gains & losses, and forecasting P&L impact for a group of Commodities that are part of the hedging portfolio. It is responsible to provide support to the team on daily, weekly and periodic activities like process payments, month end activities and reconciliations.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelors in finance, Economics, or related.
  • Understanding of general accounting concepts; knowledge of debits/credits, assets/liabilities, Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Python, MS Power Platform, Excel) with implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting and treasury management systems (SAP, HFM, FIS Quantum)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, handle large data sets, and standardize data and create workflows.
  • Proven effectiveness in project management, individual contributions, and team collaboration
  • Experience working within a team environment, including with individuals in various geographic locations.
  • Agile, curious, and proactive thinker to explore, design, implement, and train others in innovative digital solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Serve as the Finance partner to the Commercial and Commercial Finance teams as well as treasury for all Commodity related cashflows required by the global commodity program to meet margin requirements or to facilitate derivative settlements.
  • Responsible for the daily operational controls of the Global Commodity program including but not limited to trade collection and reconciliation to brokers trade listings and clearing broker statements, calculating and reconciling open trade equity of the commodity positions, trade allocation to support direct accounting processes and other controls as required from time to time.
  • Responsible for calculating and raising Intercompany cross charges for all categories in the global commodity program as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting the team on daily operations.
  • Responsible for journal entry, reconciliation and maintaining GL accounts regarding hedging gains and losses, deferred gains and losses, and broker payable/receivable at period close along with the subsequent reporting and analysis related to all commodities hedging P&L.
  • Calculates and issues commodities cover and performance reports for stakeholders and senior business leaders across multiple functions and is able to analyze and share insights.
  • Where appropriate, addresses issues and recommends opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide support to the team and assist with the onboarding of new counterparties and Implementation of new programs as appropriate.
