Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Production Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Innovate and refine manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures. Conduct process capability assessments to ensure manufacturing processes are optimized. Ensure the accuracy of product routing and time estimates. Develop and uphold Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement on the production floor by standardizing manufacturing practices.
• Offer technical support to relevant departments to guarantee seamless process operations. Collaborate with manufacturing specialists to troubleshoot existing molds, processes, and equipment. Partner with tool engineering to validate all new tooling. Provide process insights for new and redesigned products.
• Oversee long-term capital improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing.
  • Experience in process development and/or lean manufacturing techniques is preferred.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform bending, twisting, and reaching motions, along with pull/push functions and repetitive tasks. Must be comfortable working with heavy machinery and in non-climate controlled settings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
