The Regional Marketing Director is responsible for conceptualizing, creating, developing and implementing campaigns to support HMH revenue objectives within an assigned area. In addition to collaborating with other Field Sales Marketing team members, the position works in partnership with colleagues across the company to ensure HMH connected solutions are positioned appropriately to meet regional sales objectives, customer markets, and trends. These partners include Sales, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, Creative & Brand, and Product Management & Strategy. The Marketing Director follows best practices in creating campaigns with the most effective channels and tactics to achieve the greatest results.
Engage in strategy-based marketing campaign planning that drives toward revenue goals for assigned state, regional and local area to ensure maximum return on marketing investment, resources, and sales revenue.
Develop plans and drive execution of strategic marketing across multiple channels to meet sales objectives, including digital and print collateral, social media, web presence and activities, email and inside sales plans, specialized proposals, prospect events, presentations, etc.
Prioritize and execute customized content for strategic campaigns to increase revenue and supplement national marketing activities.
Analyze how programs are positioned nationally and develop targeted messaging and solutions based on revenue potential and customer needs.
Leverage HMH competitive differentiators to strengthen our position in targeted account campaigns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign objectives align with targeted HMH goals.
Engage other FSM team members during the campaign planning process to ensure applicable digital and social tactics are incorporated.
Participate in prework planning and post-mortems to increase knowledge of best channels to use for effectiveness/ROI.
Provide updates for campaign and state web pages to ensure relevant, timely HMH content is presented.
Collaborate with team members to execute on overall FSM goals and leverage HMH brand/message.
Ensure consistency and integrity behind company brand guidelines, including style and usage.
Demonstrate proficiency in the internal tools and applications utilized by HMH.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing or education.
Minimum 5 years experience in education publishing or related marketing segment.
Experience with traditional and digital marketing channels, including social media strategies and analytics.
Experience in implementing a variety of web and social media tactics for marketing purposes.
Knowledge of and proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, Acrobat DC Pro, Canva, Salesforce, SharePoint.
Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
