What the job entails:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the Human Resources function reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources. This position is responsible for acting as an HR Business Partner in the planning, and execution of HR services and programs aligned with functional business strategies. The Manager will oversee and direct the Human Resources Department including HRIS Systems, Employee Relations, Training, and Benefits Administration while adhering to standards for the Department of Labor, the Department of Transportation, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, etc.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Provides input on the development and supports the implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Ensures consistency in applying policies and practices across all levels and throughout multiple locations.
Comply with governmental regulations and standards of OFCCP, local, state, and federal programs, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA.
Direct and support managers with regard to employee relations with emphasis on performance reviews, disciplinary issues, and supervisory skills while overseeing the daily workflow of the department.
Develops and maintains affirmative action program: files EEO-1 Report annually, maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO Regulations.
Assist employees on an as-needed basis to resolve any issues or concerns about their position or employment.
Partners with the leadership team to understand and support the execution of the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Manages and oversees the company’s HRIS systems, including the process development, design, administration and training for all company employees. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum four years' experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing HR environment required.
Highly Experienced in HRIS System (specifically Paycom) Administration and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Must be authorized to work within the United States.
Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
