Our *Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS)* group is excited to offer a *Lab Manager* role within our Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) team in Marlborough, MA. As part of the ATS team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) while supporting our existing fielded systems. *You will oversee and support lab issues, conduct lab walk-throughs, and manage lab material purchases and utilization meetings.

* You will handle test equipment calibration, dock logistics, and ensure compliance with lab access training and quality assurance efforts.

* You will coordinate international hardware and software shipments.

* You will maintain inventory of government material and support disposition activities.

* You will engage in strategic lab space planning and manage the lab budget.

* You will serve as the main point of contact for material-related questions from various stakeholders.

*You will learn how to innovate and revolutionize air traffic control by contributing to the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS).

* You will learn advanced strategies in lab management, from handling international shipments to ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, all within a leading aerospace and defense company.

* You will learn to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and gain expertise in strategic lab space planning, budget management, and supporting critical aerospace projects with global impact.


*Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in lab management and operations leadership, with strong knowledge of compliance and quality assurance standards to ensure efficient oversight and maintain the integrity of lab functions.

* Must have the ability to effectively manage budgets and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring resources are optimally allocated and accounted for.

* Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, as hands-on management and physical tasks are occasionally required to support lab operations.

* *Education *- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience *or *an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience *or* in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

* *Prior experience with international shipping and handling procedures to coordinate seamless global logistics and minimize potential disruptions.

* Prior experience in lab equipment calibration and maintenance, as these are essential to maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our testing processes.

* Prior experience with SAP programs (Prism).

* Prior experience with Lean/Process Improvement initiatives.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
