Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) group is excited to offer a Lab Manager role within our Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) team in Marlborough, MA. As part of the ATS team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) while supporting our existing fielded systems. You will oversee and support lab issues, conduct lab walk-throughs, and manage lab material purchases and utilization meetings.
You will handle test equipment calibration, dock logistics, and ensure compliance with lab access training and quality assurance efforts.
You will coordinate international hardware and software shipments.
You will maintain inventory of government material and support disposition activities.
You will engage in strategic lab space planning and manage the lab budget.
You will serve as the main point of contact for material-related questions from various stakeholders.
You will learn how to innovate and revolutionize air traffic control by contributing to the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS).
You will learn advanced strategies in lab management, from handling international shipments to ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, all within a leading aerospace and defense company.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in lab management and operations leadership, with strong knowledge of compliance and quality assurance standards to ensure efficient oversight and maintain the integrity of lab functions.
Must have the ability to effectively manage budgets and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring resources are optimally allocated and accounted for.
Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs, as hands-on management and physical tasks are occasionally required to support lab operations.
Education - Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Prior experience with international shipping and handling procedures to coordinate seamless global logistics and minimize potential disruptions.
Prior experience in lab equipment calibration and maintenance, as these are essential to maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our testing processes.
Prior experience with SAP programs (Prism).
Prior experience with Lean/Process Improvement initiatives.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
