- Responsibilities:*
- Freight Accounting Oversight: Take charge of all aspects of freight accounting, including recording, reconciliation, and analysis of freight costs and revenue margins.
- Intercompany Transaction Management: Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions, encompassing billing, payments, and netting.
- Expertise in ERP Systems: Leverage proficiency in diverse ERP systems to manage and maintain financial data related to freight and intercompany processes.
- Timely Month-End Close: Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities and upload procedures.
- Account Reconciliation Enhancement: Engage in the review and enhancement of account reconciliations on a month-end basis utilizing Blackline software.
- Compliance and Documentation: Responsible for SOX key control operating effectiveness, company policy compliance, and documenting policies and procedures.
- Financial Acumen Demonstration: Demonstrate financial competence in financial reporting, internal control, analysis, and technical accounting knowledge.
- Policy and Procedures: Evaluate and review key policies, and procedures, and develop related documentation.
- Process Improvement: Proactively lead projects related to process improvement and system upgrades.
- Initiative and Project Management: Effectively manage multiple initiatives to ensure long-term operational excellence, including leading projects related to process improvement and system upgrades.
- Performance Metrics Development: Develop Key Performance Indicators and metrics to drive performance.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required for effective interaction with collaborators at all levels of the organization.
- Education:*
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred
- Advanced Qualification Preferred (CPA, MBA)
- Experience:*
- 3+ Years General-Ledger Experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities*
- Strong Analytical capabilities.
- Competent Microsoft Office user (use of Power BI and Power Query is a plus).
- Requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Hyperion, Oracle, and Blackline Systems experience is a plus.
- Spanish or Portuguese bilingual speaker is a plus.
- Public accounting and experience in a large, global organization is a plus.
