HR Administrative Assistant

This position is located in St. Joseph, Missouri. Local candidates will be considered. JOB SUMMARY: Position is responsible for providing efficient administrative and project support services to the Human Resources team, and other areas as directed. Good communication and professionalism are very important as this position will be stationed in the main lobby at the reception desk and greeting guests from within and outside of the organization. The approximate hourly pay for this position is $23/hour. Please note that the pay rate provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8-5 (can be flexible on times, but will be 8 hours/day) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Greet and assist visitors as necessary.
Support HR team with routine administrative duties (retirements events, local announcements, filing, etc.)
Schedule meetings and interviews as needed.
Assist in coordinating company donations/sponsorships.
Support employee and community event planning and logistics.
Maintain employee photos database.
Coordinate and schedule the HQ New Associate Orientation program activities for site.
Promptly answer and redirect incoming phone calls.
Support the use of our site visitor registration system.
Obtain daily employee check-in/check-out log.
Update employee mailboxes as necessary
Practice safety in the work area
Additional duties as assigned. SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED: This position receives direction/supervision from the HR Manager
This position does not have direct reports JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Knowledge): High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2 years of administrative office experience
Ability to maintain highly confidential nature of human resources work
Excellent computer skills with a high degree of proficiency with the Microsoft Office software
Excellent grammar and spelling skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Relevant experience in Human Resources isn’t required but could be a plus. Please note this contract position provides services to Nestlé in the USA on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment.
