HOURS: Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week- EST hours.

MINDBANK Consulting Group is seeking a Section 8 HUD Recertification Property Professional. Our company

This location is a senior affordable housing apartment community in Tysons Corner, VA in need of a strong Section 8 HUD Recertification Specialist to join their team. In this role you will be expected to know and reference HUD regulation regarding Section 8 and RAD Programs. As a candidate for this job, it is preferred that you have your COS Certification and have knowledge of the Yardi software system along with other IT systems.

Responsibilities

· Process Initial, Annual, and Interim recertification's for 274 units in a timely manner.

  • Calculate rents for annual and interim recertification.
  • Meet with residents to identify households with income reporting discrepancies and adjust rent as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all HUD, Tax Credit and/or other regulatory requirements related to the property's funding sources.
  • Utilizing EIV and correcting discrepancies.
  • VH reporting, but no tax credit knowledge needed.
  • Maintain resident files according to compliance standards.
  • Manage workload, ensure all re-certifications are completed in timely manner.
  • Review monthly recertification list with supervisor to ensure timely completions.
  • Ensure detailed notes are place in the computer system and resident files.
  • Effectively maintain the waiting list
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Knowledge of Project Based Section 8 and LIHTC

  • Must have knowledge of HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in senior living establishments preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to operate on a deadline driven schedule.
  • Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • COS certification, preferred.
  • TCS certification, preferred.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of Yardi, evaluate Background Checks, social media, and other IT systems that promote knowledge and upgrades to the standards in the industry.

Other Physical abilities/Working Conditions

  • Physical ability to operate a telephone, computer, sit for extended periods of time and occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
