The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Associate Scientist to join our team to support B cell Therapeutics discovery. Reporting to the Scientist, the Associate Scientist of B-cell therapeutics will be a dedicated and innovative professional. The successful candidate will be a part of the research team focused in developing a research process for novel B cell therapeutics. The ideal candidate would have expertise in lab-based techniques aimed at culturing, editing, and characterizing engineered human primary B cells or transferable skills from working with primary human T cells. This is an exciting chance to join a dynamic organization at the forefront of cell therapies and make significant contributions toward advancing B cell therapeutics as a novel approach to help patients in need.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- The individual will work in the laboratory and be responsible for the experimental execution and data analysis for research studies supporting cutting edge therapeutic programs and platform discovery research.
- Employ CRISPR editing technology for the genetic modification of human B cells.
- Develop and conduct in vitro analytical and functional bioassays for characterizing engineered B cells.
- Assist in the expansion and cell banking of engineered cell lines, laboratory maintenance, generation of SOPs and other technical documents as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Science (MS preferred) in Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development of new biological therapeutics or pharmaceutical products is required
- Direct experience with flow cytometry, and cell-based assay characterization is a requirement.
- Experience with primary human B cell culture and techniques to transduce and characterize primary B cells is a plus.
- Experience in CRISPR-based engineering of human cells is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and technically skilled.
- Highly adaptable and responsive, and committed to completing tasks in a timely fashion
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team player with a strong work ethic
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to maintain written records in the form of laboratory notebooks (paper or electronic)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
