Primary Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team and lead the communications strategy and brand management, with a focus on promoting the value of the company's membership. Responsibilities and Duties:- Develop and execute the communications strategy by leading the marketing efforts that align with organizational goals and the promotion of revenue streams.
- Lead the marketing and publications team and manage the budget including setting clear expectations to accomplish goals and strategic priorities, providing timely feedback, and coaching to develop the necessary skills and capabilities within the team to enhance performance.
- Understand and interpret the financial indicators to measure performance including ROI, and an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning, decision making and budget management.
- Identify and employ new communication tactics, marketing campaigns, engagement tools, and distribution channels to improve marketing and communication effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to champion the organizational initiatives, revenue growth activities and opportunities that demonstrate a strong value proposition for our members.
- Manage the company's Brand Identity by overseeing brand consistency and reputation across all channels including all design, brand guidelines and strategy.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including email, online ads, search engine optimization, and search engine marketing. Responsible for the oversight and execution of all company marketing channels, including digital, print, and social media.
- Develop strategy and lead all website content, design, and user experience.
- Lead market research and conduct member research to understand member and internal needs, track industry trends, and analyze market trends, marketing performance metrics, and member needs to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and review speeches, presentations, and related materials for the C-suite, officers, and directors.
- Ability to delegate, mentor and motivate assigned staff.
- Team-oriented
- Ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks within established deadlines.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products
- Ability to interface with staff, BODs, and external relationships in a professional manner.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 10+ years of direct/association marketing or advertising experience, preferably in non-profit organizations.
- 5+ years of experience managing a team. Ability to develop strategic creative solutions for nonprofit, association, issue advocacy organizations and/or for-profit organizations with similar complexity and revenue profiles.
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management skills and proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with various internal teams and work independently.
- Experience developing integrated strategic internal and external marketing plans for mid-size and large-scale organizations.
- Knowledge of integrated marketing, including emerging trends and developments in these areas and in technological advancements for marketing to large, diverse groups of members and executives within those organizations.
