Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prepares facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required by the institution.
Respond to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process; has patient sign waiver if necessary.
Understands and uses correct exposure factors, compression and angulation in order to produce high quality images.
Determines if the procedure was sufficient, or if additional imaging procedures are needed;
Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of Supplemental Health Care, and other local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology with specialized Mammography training/certification or four year degree.

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience and a valid state radiology registration as required by state law.

Other Requirements: Registered with the American Registry for Radiology Technicians. Mammography certification required
