Emergency Triage Technician
Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is a 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty veterinary hospital dedicated to providing compassionate medical care to the dogs and cats entrusted to our care. Manage and provide for the patient’s needs in the ER and critical care department.
Assist in patient stabilization including, but not limited to, IV catheter placement, drug/fluid therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Patient monitoring and document in medical record.
Perform diagnostics and treatments on patients presenting to Emergency Department.
Maintain open and clear communications with members of patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns
Follow established hospital policies and procedures when handling client concerns
All employees will be scheduled and expected to work rotating holiday shifts in the emergency and critical care department.
All employees are required to participate in the on-call rotation as needed. Shifts are subject to revisions and changes at the discretion of the hospital.
Document legibly and keep accurate medical records in accordance to hospital policy.
Clear understanding and enforcement of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
Completion of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician Program preferred.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to new situations.
