We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Emergency Triage Specialist to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our emergency and critical care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and triage services to our furry friends and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Triage: Manage and provide for the patient's needs in the ER and critical care department, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients, document medical records, and provide updates to pet owners on their pet's status.
- Technical Skills: Perform diagnostics and treatments, including IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, venipuncture, and safe restraint.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communications with the patient care team, pet owners, and other stakeholders regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician Program preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform repetitive motion, including periods of sitting/standing, bending/stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
