We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Customer Service Order Entry Clerk.


You will be responsible for confirming orders with customers and accurately entering and processing customer orders into our computerized system. This is a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient order processing.


Responsibilities:

- Enter customer orders into the computer system with accuracy and efficiency

- Verify the accuracy of order information, including product codes, quantities, and pricing

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any order discrepancies or issues

- Maintain organized and up-to-date files of customer orders and related documentation

- Assist with data collection and analysis for order tracking purposes

- Provide administrative support to the sales team as needed

- Perform general office tasks such as typing, filing, and photocopying


Experience:

  • General understanding of metal fabrication processes
  • Some understanding and/or exposure to reading blueprints
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic math skills for accurate order calculations
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing
  • Visual ERP experience preferred
  • Exposure to and understanding of LEAN principals preferred
  • Previous experience in data entry or administrative roles is preferred
