DRG is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, analytical, innovative individual to join our dynamic growing team.

An HR Generalist, or Human Resources Generalist, is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Their duties to include applying HR laws and regulations to current policies and procedures, drafting HR documents, and collaborating with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. This role is based in Kansas City, MO and supports our Kanasas/Missouri entity.

What will you do?

  • Assist with recruitment, selecting and on-boarding processes for Field Operations.
  • Partner with Operations Leaders to address / resolve employee relations issues as they arise.
  • Advocate on behalf of our employees (i.e., Leave of Absence requests, application of PTO policies, Benefits, and a variety of employee relations issues).
  • Create employment offer letters and conduct employee onboarding for above store leaders help organize training & development initiatives.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Undertake tasks around performance management.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like employee turnover rates, management stability and compensation.
  • Organize annual employee performance reviews.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Process employee change of status changes (i.e., rate, position, and location changes).
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new rewards and benefits and organizing team building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.


What Skills do you need?

  • Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish. Bilingual ability is required.
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including excel (i.e., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis), Applicant Tracking Systems (i.e., Talent Reef, Workday, Snagajob, etc.) HRIS Platforms (i.e., Workday, Ceridian, UKG, SAP, etc.).


Are you qualified?

  • At least 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Federal and California employment / labor laws required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
