My client are a leading heavy civil contractor based out of their head office in the Bronx, NY. They specialize in all aspects of Utilities and ground work projects working with clients such as ConEdison, National Grid and PSEG.


Your New Role

Due to their continues success in securing new projects they are continuing their growth and seeking to add a Civil Estimator to their team. To be successful in this role you will be required to:


  • Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare HCSS comparison sheets.
  • Prepare documents for bid and proposal submission.
  • Prepare pre-bid or green sheet estimate.
  • Set up Bid in HCSS.
  • Price-up bid items and review with VP of Estimating.
  • Timeline equipment.
  • Conduct detailed take offs.


What you'll need to succeed

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related subject..
  • 3+ years experience in heavy civil construction working for a general contractor
  • Experience bidding on public sector projects in the NYC and 5 boroughs.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid
  • Excellent written and verbal skills


What you'll get in return

  • Base Salary between $80k- $120k
  • 15 days starting PTO plus public holidays
  • Annual bonus
