Our involvement spans significant projects across the nation, including major expansions of transit systems, tunnel constructions to ease congestion, transformative upgrades to rail systems, and extensive improvements to airports and bridges.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, reporting to the Senior Estimation Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of civil infrastructure projects, such as bridges, highways, railways, airports, dams, and tunnels.
- Thoroughly reviewing and understanding project bids, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Independently performing or supervising detailed quantity take-offs for various project types, compiling data using spreadsheet applications.
- Generating precise price estimates by assessing labor requirements, equipment, and materials, utilizing advanced cost estimation software, with HCSS as the preferred tool.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, accompanied by over 10 years of experience in estimation and project management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation for large-scale civil engineering projects.
- Experience with projects valued at $100 million or more.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with project stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of estimators to produce comprehensive cost proposals, particularly for large-scale, joint venture projects.
- Familiarity with project delivery methods such as design-build and CMAR is a plus.
