Our involvement spans significant nationwide projects, including extensive transit system expansions, tunnel constructions aimed at reducing congestion, transformative upgrades to rail systems, and comprehensive enhancements to airports and bridges.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, reporting directly to the Senior Estimation Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing precise cost forecasts for a variety of civil infrastructure projects, such as bridges, highways, railways, airports, dams, and tunnels.
- Thoroughly reviewing and understanding project bids, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Independently performing or supervising detailed quantity take-offs for various project types, utilizing spreadsheet software for data compilation.
- Generating comprehensive price estimates by assessing labor requirements, equipment, and materials, employing advanced cost estimation software, with HCSS as the preferred tool.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, coupled with over 10 years of experience in estimation and project management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation for large-scale civil engineering initiatives.
- Experience with projects valued at $100 million or more.
- Strong interpersonal abilities for effective communication with project stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with a team of estimators to produce comprehensive cost proposals, particularly for large-scale, joint venture projects.
- Familiarity with project delivery methods such as design-build and CMAR is a plus.
