As a Procurement Specialist you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services. Your responsibilities will encompass data analysis, vendor management, cost control, and contract negotiation to support our mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate and maintain detailed reports on procurement performance, vendor performance, and expenditure analysis.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with various departments to identify vendor needs and evaluate potential suppliers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate terms and agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and compliance.


3. Cost Control and Budgeting:

  • Monitor procurement budgets and spending, identifying areas for cost reduction and cost control.
  • Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall expenses while maintaining quality standards.

4. Contract Negotiation and Compliance:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate procurement contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.


5. Procurement Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the procurement process and work with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve processes.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

6. Supplier Performance Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement a system for evaluating supplier performance, ensuring quality and delivery standards are met.
  • Address performance issues and implement improvement plans as necessary.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferred
  • Previous experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain analysis in a healthcare or multi-location environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and procurement best practices.
  • Proficiency in contract management and legal requirements related to procurement.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
